Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader – Student Success

About the role

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders support student learning by attending targeted classes, planning and facilitating out‑of‑class small‑group sessions, and helping students develop transferable study skills. The role is based in the Student Success Center at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

Key responsibilities

• Write and submit a weekly session plan.
• Conduct four 50‑minute SI sessions each week.
• Attend each meeting of the target class and model proper student behavior.
• Participate in weekly team meetings, professional development, and pre‑semester training.
• Complete all mandatory Blackboard tasks and other administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student with at least twelve credit hours completed at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville before the start date.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and an A grade in the course for which the leader will be assigned.
• Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher and A grades in multiple courses where SI is offered.
