Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist – Expeditionary Civilian

About the role

The Defense Logistics Agency seeks an experienced Supervisory Property Disposal Specialist to lead a Disposition Services site. This Expeditionary Civilian (EC) position is Emergency Essential and requires the incumbent to remain on‑site during crises.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily operations of a DLA Disposition Services site, supervising staff and other supervisors.
• Analyze, plan, and optimize utilization of business resources, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for hazardous material, environmental issues, and demilitarization.
• Prepare property for disposal, oversee storage, movement, and disposition processes.
• Develop and monitor annual budget, operating plans, cost‑reduction programs, and profit projections.
• Lead innovative problem‑solving initiatives and process improvements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret access.
• One year of specialized experience in property disposal, contractor coordination, and surplus property business operations at the GS‑12 level or equivalent.
• Experience with hazardous material handling, DEMIL requirements, and federal budgeting.
• Completion of Supervisory Certification Program and ability to meet USCENTCOM physical requirements.
