Supervisor RN Operations Coordinator – PACU/Recovery

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Supervisor RN to lead operations in the PACU/Recovery unit on Jefferson Highway. This position provides direct, hands‑on care for critically ill or injured patients while supervising a team of nurses and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, plan, supervise, and coordinate patient care within the unit.
• Provide direct care for critically ill or injured patients in pre‑ and postoperative settings.
• Supervise, develop, and evaluate assigned staff nurses and patient care technicians.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical supplies to ensure effective daily operations.
• Collaborate with quality, safety, and experience leadership to promote patient safety and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN (required for Ochsner Magnet facilities).
• 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years LPN experience) in an acute‑care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
