Supervisor, Operations – 3rd Shift

About the role

Maersk Logistics & Services USA is seeking a dedicated 3rd‑shift Operations Supervisor to lead a team of warehouse and yard staff. You will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe, productive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily inbound appointment logs and open order reports to plan work activities.
• Develop inbound and outbound schedules that meet customer metrics.
• Determine staffing needs, schedule shifts, and assign workers based on workload.
• Update operational procedures, monitor productivity, and evaluate performance.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control to achieve high inventory accuracy.
• Manage department payroll and advise employees on proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Issue written and oral instructions, enforce safety procedures, and resolve employee grievances.
• Directly supervise 20+ employees, handling hiring, training, and performance management.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising warehouse or logistics operations.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Ability to manage staff schedules, payroll, and performance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for inventory and workflow issues.
• Commitment to safety compliance and continuous improvement.
