Supervisor, Electric Resource Planning & Analysis

About the role

Puget Sound Energy's Resource Planning Analytics team is hiring a Supervisor, Electric Resource Planning & Analysis, based in Bellevue, WA, with hybrid work opportunities. The supervisor leads analyst development, coordinates execution and sets the governance framework for the quantitative and qualitative analysis behind the Integrated System Plan (ISP), while supervising the analyst team and ensuring work meets quality standards. Specific work arrangements are discussed during the interview.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of analysts through one-on-one meetings, coaching, mentoring and onboarding support
• Lead cross-functional teams to agree on analytical methodologies and input assumptions for the long-term resource strategy
• Manage analysis intake, prioritization, resource allocation and project plans, schedules and milestones
• Establish database governance and documentation standards for data and models used in resource planning, including Aurora and Plexos
• Develop templates, process documentation and workpapers, and maintain quality control, validation and review procedures
• Support regulatory filings and stakeholder reviews, and help build a scalable resource planning organization
• Review and create communication materials such as PowerPoint slides and charts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, finance, economics, business administration or a related field
• Seven years of relevant experience, including five in an energy industry performing complex analysis
• Experience using relevant models
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, and ability to work with regulators and industry partners

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications
• Desired: advanced degree, project management experience, experience leading complex analytical or forecasting processes, and process improvement and documentation experience
