Supervisor, Building and Grounds

About the role

The Supervisor, Building and Grounds is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across stadium facilities. This position ensures that work orders are managed efficiently, staff are trained and supervised, and the grounds remain safe and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned grounds and building staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance appraisals.
• Receive, prioritize, and organize pending work orders; obtain vendor quotes as needed.
• Oversee daily operations of building and ground activities, ensuring compliance with city policies and standards.
• Coordinate and monitor work performed by outside contractors, inspecting work for quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and attend staff or project meetings.
• Operate a city vehicle for business-related travel.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in supervising maintenance or grounds staff.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to enforce policies, resolve operational issues, and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of hand and small power tools.
• Operation and maintenance of lawn mowers and riding lawn mowers.
• Building and grounds maintenance activities.
• Proficiency with standard office software and computers.
