Summer 2027 Internship - Upper Extremities Sales, Richmond, VA

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Summer 2027 intern for its Upper Extremities Sales team in Richmond, VA. This is a field-based position where the intern learns the sales process and product knowledge through shadowing and hands-on assistance, with a travel percentage of 40%. The company offers a sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays per year, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend depending on the hiring location.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives and Operations Team Members to learn all aspects of the branch.
• Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation.
• Prepare a project segment that builds a target account list and develops a marketing potential or strategy.
• Learn selling skills, processes and instrument use techniques through coaching and mentoring from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers.
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers in delivering kits to and from accounts.
• Assist Team Members in the warehouse with assembling and breaking down instrument kits and preparing products for surgery.
• Interact with various teams about the products and assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently working toward completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent; only students planning to enroll in a degree-seeking program after the summer are considered.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Proven leadership, business acumen and ability to handle multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Pay of $20 minimum to $35 maximum per hour.
