Summer 2027 Internship - Joint Replacement Sales, Houston

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Summer 2027 field-based intern for its Joint Replacement Sales team in Houston, Texas. The internship gives exposure to the sales branch through shadowing, presentations and hands-on assistance with deliveries and product preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives and Operations Team Members to learn all aspects of the branch.
• Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation.
• Prepare a project segment that builds a target account list and/or develops a marketing potential or strategy.
• Learn selling skills, processes and instrument use techniques with coaching and mentoring from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers.
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers in delivering kits to and from accounts.
• Assist Team Members in the warehouse with assembling and breaking down instrument kits and preparing products for surgery.
• Interact with various teams about the products and help Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent; only students planning to enroll in a degree-seeking program after the summer are considered.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (preferred).
• Permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Proven leadership, business acumen and ability to handle multiple projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to changing priorities.

What we offer

• Pay of $20 minimum to $35 maximum per hour.
• Sign-on bonus.
• 11 paid holidays annually.
• Paid corporate housing or a living stipend, depending on hiring location.
• Travel percentage of 40%.
