Summer 2027 Intern, Manufacturing Engineering - Tempe

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Manufacturing Engineering at its Tempe site. The intern contributes to real projects rather than just observing, works onsite, and gains exposure to mentors and a culture of innovation and teamwork. The internship is open to students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial and Operations Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently
• Work on projects such as fixture development, assembly line optimization, lean manufacturing implementation, ergonomics and safety improvements, and process validation
• Document complex processes and present them clearly
• Network with high-level stakeholders and leaders of the business

Required profile

• Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at the time of hire and must stay enrolled after the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and does not need sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment

What we offer

• Pay of $20 minimum to $35 maximum per hour
