Engineering Intern, Product Quality

About the role

Stryker is looking for Quality Engineering interns in Tempe, Arizona, working onsite. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, gain exposure to mentors and join an innovative, teamwork-driven culture. The internship is open to students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced Quality: work on engineering projects for new products, such as human factors engineering, risk management, statistics, reliability engineering, design verification and validation, including customer interaction.
• Process Quality: support product sustainment with cross-functional teams, run root cause analysis on non-conforming production issues and use tools such as CAD for fixture design, LabView and validation activities to improve production, inspection and quality systems.
• Supplier Quality: work with suppliers to ensure components and manufacturing processes meet standards, collaborating with internal customers across functions.
• Quality: work with cross-functional teams and the sales team to ensure high-quality products, and with regulators on post-market complaints and design changes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, remaining enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire.
• Able to work in the U.S. without needing employment-based sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Interest in learning in a dynamic environment.

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage.
