About the role

Responsive Education Solutions (ResponsiveEd) is seeking qualified individuals to join its Substitute Teaching Pool. As a substitute teacher you will deliver instruction, support individualized learning plans, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment for students across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct and motivate students in all subject areas.
• Assign lessons, review and correct homework.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment.
• Ensure the learning center is clean, safe, and stimulating.
• Model good housekeeping practices and encourage student participation.
• Provide consistent encouragement to build student self‑esteem and character.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and curriculum software to enhance learning.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for working with children.
• Patience and the ability to interact positively with students.
• Basic knowledge of federal and state education laws.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn curriculum software.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and campus directors.
• Adaptability to changing schedules and travel as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

What we offer

• Short‑term substitute positions paid $90‑$100 per day (non‑degreed vs. degreed).
• Long‑term substitute positions paid $110‑$120 per day (non‑degreed vs. degreed).
