Substance Use Disorder Billing Support Coordinator

About the role

This full‑time position supports the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program by ensuring accurate and compliant documentation of services before billing submission. The coordinator works closely with case managers, counselors, and the billing department to prepare and verify records for timely reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly service and billing documentation, monitor corrective actions, and prepare status reports.
• Review sign‑in sheets, obtain medical director signatures, and ensure billing logs are submitted by the 3rd of each month.
• Communicate with SAPC for required changes, attend relevant county meetings, and compile documentation for providers.
• Identify appropriate CPT codes, submit billable reports to the Billing Department, and track staff documentation every 24‑48 hours.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in addiction services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with state, federal, and county officials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer use.
• Experience with Drug Medi‑Cal clients preferred.
