Pharmacy Technician – Full-Time

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician supports the licensed pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, handling medication preparation, labeling, and distribution while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with prescription drop‑off and pick‑up, enter orders into computerized patient profiles, and generate labels.
• Prepare inventory, compound oral solutions, ointments, creams, and pre‑package bulk medications.
• Screen telephone calls, communicate with clinic providers for refill authorizations, and support the pharmacist in workflow scheduling.
• Train new employees and assist other pharmacy technicians as needed.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program or equivalent experience; valid California Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Spanish bilingual capability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with brand and generic drug names, packaging, and labeling procedures.
