sUAS/TUAS Flight Instructor (15X)

About the role

AOC Global Services is hiring sUAS/TUAS (Small Unmanned Aircraft System / Tactical Unmanned Flight System) instructors to deliver flight and simulation instruction for the US Army's sUAS and TUAS programs of instruction for the 2-13th Aviation Regiment at Ft Huachuca, Arizona. This is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain and deliver moderately complex flight and simulation training programs, about 90% of daily effort
• Establish and review course content as required
• Maintain records of training activities, participant progress and flight information
• Update course documentation regularly to stay timely and relevant
• May lead and evaluate other instructors as assigned
• Stay current with new training, educational and multimedia technologies, and keep currency on equipment and software used by the customer
• Take part in special projects under the Performance Work Statement, on a limited or rotational basis
• May operate or instruct customer UAS platforms depending on training throughput
• Work all shifts and/or modified split shifts

Required profile

• Graduate of Army UAS Groups 3-5, with at least four years of operational flying experience in Groups 1-5 UAS
• 200 hours of live flight or simulation on Groups 1-5 UAS, including 20 hours as Aircraft Commander (AC); contractors with both Army and civilian qualifications and DCMA approval are preferred
• Army qualification certificates, DD214 and DA 7122; AC designation via DD Form 759 or DCMA/OEM
• US citizen, able to obtain and maintain a flight physical per AR 95-20, and able to climb and descend stairs and stand for up to 50 minutes
• Active US Secret clearance
• High school graduate or equivalent education, certifications or military experience

• Ability to complete all evaluations per AR 95-20, including TRADOC instructor, oral academic, no-notice, DES, proficiency flight and standardization flight evaluations
