Gray Eagle UAS Flight Instructor (15C) - Ft. Huachuca

About the role

AOC Global Services is recruiting a full-time Gray Eagle UAS Flight Instructor (15C) for Fort Huachuca. The instructor trains personnel in academics, flight simulators and live flight operations, and also acts as an Instructor Operator supporting UAS flight operations for the 2-13th Aviation Regiment.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct on Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS procedures for takeoff, landing and tactical employment, and on air crew coordination.
• Cover system capabilities, emergency procedures, limitations, payload system logic and mission fundamentals (reconnaissance, surveillance, security and attack missions).
• Teach mission planning and approval, including METTTC, risk assessment and performance planning.
• Instruct on Army reporting formats (SALUTE, SALTW, BDA), airspace regulations, ATC phraseology, map reading and laser safety.
• Cover combat vehicle identification, military symbology, fratricide prevention, indirect fire and laser designation procedures, and joint procedures.
• Teach AR 95-1, TC 3-04.11, TC 3-04.3, AR 40-8, TC 3-04.93, DA PAM 738-751 (TAMMS) and maintenance logbook software.
• Teach decisive action concepts, the IPB process and basic IFR flight rules topics.

Required profile

• Qualification in the Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS and at least 200 hours on the Gray Eagle.
• At least four years of operational flying experience within the last five years.
• 20 hours as an aircraft commander (can substitute 20 hours of IO, but the record must show AC designation).
• OEM qualified, with DCMA statements (1821, 2628) and a DD Form 759 or DCMA/OEM designation.
• Army Qualification Certificates, DD214 and DA 7122.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a flight physical under AR 95-20 and to pass instructor, oral, no-notice, DES, proficiency and standardization flight evaluations.

Required skills

• Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS qualification and 200 hours flown.
• Familiarity with AR 95-1, TC 3-04.11, TC 3-04.3, AR 40-8, TC 3-04.93, DA PAM 738-751 and TAMMS.
• Desired: IO course graduate and 12 hours as AC in the last 12 months.
