Student Finance Advisor (Account Management)

About the role

This position supports student success by providing proactive, accurate financial guidance and managing a portfolio of 850‑950 undergraduate and graduate students. The role operates in a contact‑center environment and collaborates with academic partners and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze each student’s financial situation and develop individualized financial plans.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust financial plans throughout the student lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver an optimal student experience.
• Provide accurate advice on University policies, Title IV, military/veteran affairs, and related regulations.
• Manage escalated student concerns, resolve issues promptly, and own the student finance experience.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and participate in new process roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in higher‑education finance or related field.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, mathematical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic database/internet applications.
