Student Conduct Specialist / Assistant Director

About the role

Under the direction of the Dean of Students, the Student Conduct Specialist or Assistant Director of Student Conduct serves as the Administrative Hearing Officer for disciplinary cases involving violations of the Student Code of Conduct and leads community outreach as a Prevention Specialist. The role provides case management, interventions, referrals and connects students to follow‑up services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct administrative hearings and adjudicate student conduct violations.
• Develop and implement outreach initiatives to promote a safe campus environment.
• Provide case management services, including interventions, referrals, and coordination of support resources.
• Maintain accurate records of disciplinary proceedings and outcomes.
• Collaborate with campus partners, such as counseling, security, and academic units, to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Prepare reports and statistical data on conduct cases for university leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or a related field (master’s preferred).
• Experience managing student conduct cases or similar disciplinary processes.
• Strong knowledge of student code of conduct policies and legal considerations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
