Student Account Receivables Manager

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a Student Account Receivables Manager to lead collection efforts, oversee student billing technologies, and provide financial analysis for the Department of Student Accounts. This full‑time, onsite role supports the university’s mission of student success and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage collection efforts for past‑due student accounts, including correspondence, payment agreements, and referrals to external agencies.
• Supervise Outreach and Recovery Coordinators and develop proactive strategies to automate data capture and reduce outstanding balances.
• Administer state warrant holds on delinquent accounts, collaborating with the Texas Comptroller’s Office to automate the process.
• Serve as business owner for student billing, payment, collections, and related technologies; manage day‑to‑day administration of payment platforms and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Enrollment Management to implement system enhancements, test upgrades, and develop automated communications.
• Conduct financial analysis, maintain forecasting models, and prepare comprehensive reports for university leadership.
• Audit enrollment and payment workflows, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support policy development.
