Athletics Business Coordinator II

About the role

The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at Tarleton State University seeks an Athletics Business Coordinator II to support budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, and administrative functions. Reporting to senior athletic leadership, the role involves independent judgment and collaboration with coaches, staff, and university partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, monitoring, and reconciling departmental and team budgets, tracking revenues and expenditures.
• Produce regular financial reports and maintain a dynamic budget dashboard for athletics leadership.
• Oversee Purchasing Card usage, ensure compliance with institutional, state, and NCAA guidelines, and provide staff training.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with institutional, conference, NCAA policies, and audit standards.
• Support human‑resource processes including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of related experience in finance, budgeting, or business operations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing applications.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
