Strategy Consultant – Retail Banking (Hybrid, NJ/NYC)

About the role

This newly created position sits within the Consumer Banking organization and acts as an internal consultant to senior leadership. The Strategy Consultant will leverage data‑driven insights to evaluate performance, uncover growth opportunities, and shape strategic initiatives across the retail banking franchise.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business performance across retail banking, lending, branch operations, wealth & insurance, and product initiatives.
• Identify and prioritize growth opportunities and strategic projects for the Consumer Bank.
• Translate complex data and analytics into clear, executive‑level recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leadership teams to assess and monitor financial performance.
• Support the development and tracking of strategic metrics and dashboards.

Required profile

• Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent executive‑level communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with senior leaders in financial services or banking.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and solid business analysis capabilities.
• Preferably background in consumer banking strategy, retail banking analytics, or financial services consulting.
