Strategy Consultant - AI Training & Evaluation (Freelance, Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced strategy consultant to help us design realistic consulting project environments that will be used to train and evaluate advanced AI systems. The position is remote, freelance, and focuses on translating real‑world consulting engagements into structured learning tasks for AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed, industry‑specific project scenarios that include financial data, constraints, conflicting inputs and incomplete information.
• Break each scenario into discrete consulting tasks such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost optimisation, growth strategy, operational diagnosis and benchmarking.
• Develop grading frameworks, evaluation rubrics and golden‑answer solutions for each task to enable large‑language‑model based assessment at scale.
• Collaborate with the AI‑training team to ensure the tasks reflect authentic consulting problem‑solving processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on consulting experience at a top‑tier firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte, EY‑Parthenon, Kearney, Strategy&).
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous client problems, build financial models or market analyses, and produce client‑ready deliverables under tight deadlines.
• Experience presenting and defending recommendations in uncertain environments.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑structuring capabilities.
• Familiarity with financial modelling, market analysis and strategic frameworks.
