About the role
The Strategic Initiatives Specialist supports the External Affairs division by managing high‑priority research, preparing meeting content, and delivering presentations and reports. The role works closely with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in research and preparation for major university events, including Commencement and presidential initiatives.
- Develop and curate content for high‑visibility meetings and events, such as presentations, summaries, and strategic documents.
- Collaborate on university‑wide messaging and provide editorial feedback on departmental submissions.
- Identify and develop strategic opportunities related to division projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree with 3‑5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong research and editing abilities.
- Analytical thinker capable of synthesizing information into impactful solutions.
- Proactive professional who can manage an intense workload and handle confidential information with discretion.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
