Strategic Initiatives Project Coordinator

About the role

The Strategic Initiatives Project Coordinator supports Facilities Management in developing, implementing, and sustaining strategic initiatives and operational improvement projects. Working with campus partners, the coordinator ensures projects run smoothly, communications are clear, and training resources are effective.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental projects, communications, and change‑management activities.
• Organize employee training sessions, customer‑service initiatives, and engagement events.
• Maintain documentation, process‑improvement records, and project timelines.
• Manage user access to business applications and develop training materials.
• Support adoption of departmental systems, procedures, and organizational initiatives.
• Travel on and off campus for meetings, training, and event coordination as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• At least one year of professional administrative or coordination experience.
• Valid driver’s license; Maryland Class C license preferred for state‑vehicle use.
• Knowledge of best practices in organization, administration, and customer service.
• Ability to handle confidential information and interpret policies and regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and multitasking ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
