Strategic Account Manager – Western Cornbelt to West Coast (Field)

About the role

We are seeking an Agricultural Strategic Account Manager to join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions team, covering the Western Cornbelt through the West Coast of the United States. The role is based in Research Triangle Park, NC, and will support strategic customers across a broad regional footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Manage long‑term relationships with strategic agricultural accounts, delivering value through BASF’s product portfolio, services and solutions.
• Collaborate with channel partners and regional business teams to develop and execute a three‑year business plan.
• Communicate BASF’s strategy, channel goals and objectives throughout partner organizations to ensure alignment.
• Coordinate sales activities with regional and district managers to create profitable business solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities, set stretch targets and monitor performance on a monthly basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agricultural Business, Science or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in agricultural account management or a comparable role.
• Proven ability to build and grow strategic customer relationships.
• Strong strategic thinking, self‑motivation and ability to position BASF as a preferred supplier.

• Ability to analyze market opportunities and develop actionable plans.
