Storeroom Coordinator

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is hiring a Storeroom Coordinator in Chester, SC (full-time, Supply Chain department). The role manages the inventory and all goods received into the glass mat plant's storeroom, acts as subject matter expert for the storeroom operation, trains facility personnel on policies and procedures, and supports other IKO Southeast plants.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing: order MRO goods for the plant (except raw materials), track min/max levels, negotiate costs and freight with vendors, review and issue purchase requisitions in Maximo and/or JDE, and negotiate VMI contracts.
• Receiving: receive MRO goods, inspect, organize, verify and stock them, ship monthly R&D items to the lab, and act as backup for the Plant Purchasing Manager.
• Storeroom management: keep the storeroom organized (5S), maintain inventory accuracy, control access, run the parts criticality assessment, organize like items together, and manage repairable parts inventory.
• Cycle counting: keep weekly cycle counts current in the CMMS and inventory system, track KPIs and corrective actions, investigate inventory adjustments, and complete full physicals at management's frequency.
• Daily support: run kit jobs for work orders, organize contractor parts, and ensure parts are correctly charged to work orders and assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Inventory Management or equivalent experience preferred.
• 10-12 years of work experience in a related field.
• Proven track record managing a manufacturing plant storeroom and serving multiple departments' inventory needs.
• Ability to train others, excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, JDE and Maximo
• Forklift and scissor lift certification
• Blueprint reading using AutoCAD and DNA
