Store Planning Project Manager - New Stores

About the role

The Store Planning Project Manager creates and maintains store-specific floor plans to support major corporate initiatives. Plans are developed by comparing each store's existing condition with the approved scope of work, which includes implementing approved scope items, new store merchandising philosophies and chain-wide resets. The role sits within the Store Support Center and reports to the Senior Manager, Store Planning.

Key responsibilities

• Own the accuracy of all store planning data for assigned areas and use analytics to improve business processes and decisions.
• Ensure the integrity of store project floor plans and data against what was planned and executed.
• Make merchandising recommendations, including space allocation and bay adjacencies, based on store sales performance analysis.
• Develop multiple store layout projects at once while meeting scope, timelines and quality metrics, and prepare supporting documentation.
• Comply with building regulations, corporate standards and internal quality standards.
• Help merchants and suppliers define project strategy, scope and requirements, and drive detailed scope through relationships with Merchants and other in-store environment teams.
• Train associates on project scope through documentation, group training sessions and in-store activities.
• Influence store space decisions so they meet organizational goals and benefit merchants, stores and customers.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 1+ year of experience in AutoCAD and preferred prior store planning experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• Typical working conditions: mostly sitting indoors, occasional lifting of light items, and overnight travel under 10% of the time.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint (preferred).
• Ability to collaborate across functions, negotiate and resolve disputes, and communicate effectively.
