Manager EDX Program Office

About the role

The Home Depot is looking for a Manager EDX Program Office to manage store operations processes for specific areas of responsibility and to lead projects focused on process improvements that support the needs of stores and the field. The role partners with the Operations Strategy Team and others to drive major process improvement initiatives across Home Depot.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the root causes of problems and communicate the right course of action to the team and the resolution to the field.
• Develop and implement changes that improve store operations processes and add value to the stores' bottom line.
• Manage core store operations projects and process improvements, including day-to-day processes, work plans, issues and roadblocks.
• Respond proactively to unanticipated store needs and manage action steps for strategic projects and process improvements.
• Build strong partnerships with the field and stores, and prepare high-level insights and recommendations based on industry, business, competitive and consumer data.
• Provide guidance and training, assist in turning data findings into recommendations, and maintain knowledge of specific operations and processes.
• Select, terminate, appraise and develop the support team of Business Analysts (typically 2-5 direct reports).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• 3 years of retail experience or process management in a related area preferred; 5 years preferred.
• Strong business, functional and store knowledge for the area of responsibility; leadership and management experience preferred.
• Strong operations, retail and/or field experience required.
• Ability to partner and communicate well with the field and stores; high sense of urgency and strategic thinking.
• Overnight travel under 10% of the time; mostly sitting work with occasional lifting of light items.

Required skills

• Quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis.
• Preferred: PMI certification.
