Store Manager in Training

About the role

Monro is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Store Manager in Training to join its team in Portsmouth. The role develops retail skills and career growth within a dynamic retail environment, and candidates take part in a five-week onboarding and training program. The pay range is $65,000-$85,000 per year depending on experience, with additional performance-based incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure excellent customer service
• Implement company policies, procedures and best practices
• Lead and motivate store teammates, including training, scheduling and driving productivity
• Contribute to inventory management, including control, ordering, receiving and loss prevention
• Help meet sales targets and implement promotional strategies
• Keep the store clean, organized and safe, and handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
• Support cash management and accurate financial reporting
• Take part in ongoing training and development, and use data to improve sales and the guest experience

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in retail or a related industry; supervisory or management experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
