Store Assistant (Bonused) - Circle K Pittsburgh

About the role

Circle K is hiring a full-time Store Assistant for its station at 7675 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The position covers customer service, merchandising, sales and financial controls, and shift staffing. Shift availability is flexible (days, evenings, overnights and weekends).

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coach staff in courteous customer service, greet customers, handle payments accurately and resolve routine issues.
• Operate the fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine and telecom transactions.
• Keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping, dusting, cleaning equipment and checking refrigeration units.
• Stock, rotate and display products, prepare inventory orders, make price changes and post signage.
• Enter transactions at the correct price, keep accurate cash, sales, payroll and inventory records, complete daily banking and shift reports, and process weekly time and attendance and payroll.
• Supervise staff, schedule employees, train Customer Service Representatives and lead CSRs, and counsel employees.
• Help maintain a safe environment, report incidents and losses, and assist the Store Manager with reports, audits and inventory levels.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1 year of retail and management experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Open availability and ability to work opposite shifts of the Store Manager.
• Able to work in cold environments, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and to work alone with minimal supervision.

• Clear communication and problem-solving with customers.
• Accurate use of cash registers, scanners and other equipment.
