Stock Clerk

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Stock Clerk for a shop environment where the worker receives, stores and issues materials, keeps stock records and helps maintain equipment. The position is paid at $23.60 per hour and may require travel.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming items, count, sort or weigh them and annotate receiving, shipping and storage documents
• Store articles in bins, on the floor or on shelves by style, size or type
• Fill orders or issue supplies from stock, and distribute stock among production workers while keeping records
• Complete stock, issuance, transfer and return records, and prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventories
• Use bar code wands, labelers, laser scanners and computer terminals; a CAC may be required for system access
• Alert supervisors to shortages, damage or discrepancies, and report equipment failures to AECOM and Government Supervision
• Perform PMCS and lock-out/tag-out procedures, and report equipment failures
• Requisition articles to fill incoming orders and compile reports on stock usage, inventory adjustments and damage
• Follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and perform housekeeping and maintenance duties

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Physically able to lift 45 pounds, stand on stepladders and reach overhead
• Valid driver's license, including for government motorized equipment
• Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance
• English speaking, reading and understanding
• Available for any shift, including weekends
• Must pass a pre-employment physical examination and urinary analysis

What we offer

• Pay of $23.60 per hour (set by the collective bargaining agreement)
• $7.50 per hour paid, up to 80 hours per pay period, for medical, dental, AD&D, vision, life, long-term disability, employee assistance and short-term disability
