About the role

Hotel Equities is seeking a reliable Steward to join the team at the historic Hotel Paso Del Norte in El Paso, Texas. The role focuses on maintaining clean and sanitary kitchenware while supporting the restaurant and food service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and organize dishes, silverware, cookware, and kitchen tools using proper chemical procedures.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, and rotate stock as needed.
• Empty and maintain trash cans, dumpsters, and recycling containers.
• Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables or room‑service trays when required.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with major hotel brand standards (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt) is preferred.
• Ability to work indoors in a fast‑paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines and related cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of proper detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemical use.
• Basic inventory handling for kitchen supplies.
