Stationary Engineer – Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding with a state‑of‑the‑art 15‑floor facility. As a Stationary Engineer you will ensure critical utility systems operate safely and reliably across the new Neuro Expansion building.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and maintain high‑pressure steam, HVAC, emergency power and fire protection systems.
• Monitor utility plant logs, track boiler performance, and identify trends to prevent equipment failures.
• Test and respond to emergency generators, transfer equipment and fire protection alarms.
• Perform inspections of bulk oxygen tanks, chillers and other critical equipment.
• Provide support to other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Ohio Third‑Class Stationary Engineer License (or equivalent with transfer/ exam within 12 months).
• Knowledge of steam distribution, condensate, large chiller, water distribution, cooling towers and air handling systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Physical ability to lift/transport items of 100 lb and work in stationary or mobile positions for extended periods.
