Station Director – Aviation Operations

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Station Director to lead its San Francisco airport operations. This senior position oversees all ground handling, cargo, and fueling activities, ensuring seamless service for millions of passengers each year while driving productivity and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall station performance across Ground Handling, Fueling, and Cargo business lines.
• Achieve operational and financial KPIs in line with cluster strategy.
• Maintain safety standards, lead QHSE inspections, investigations and corrective actions.
• Implement Group and regional policies, procedures, and standards.
• Develop and execute station strategy with a 12‑18 month horizon, contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customers, local stakeholders, and senior management.
• Lead frontline managers, fostering a culture of care, integrity, and teamwork.
