Staff+ Software Engineer – Platform Distribution

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Staff+ Software Engineer to lead the Platform Distribution team. You will help make the Claude API a cloud‑native, managed product that runs across major cloud providers and Anthropic’s own infrastructure, delivering enterprise‑grade security, compliance, and operational capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Claude Platform integrations on AWS, GCP, and Azure, bringing the API, control plane, and Anthropic features to customers through each provider’s front door.
• Drive cross‑cloud engineering work, collaborating with Infrastructure, Systems, Networking, Databases, and Inference teams.
• Develop and ship enterprise‑enablement features such as key management, encryption, audit APIs, usage visibility, access control, and international data residency.
• Own large‑scale infrastructure systems and lead ambiguous, cross‑team technical projects from design through production.
• Partner with cloud service providers and internal core teams to ensure compliance and security for regulated and sovereign cloud environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems, preferably at a tech‑lead level.
• Product‑focused mindset with a track record of delivering robust, scalable solutions that are easy for customers to adopt.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale infrastructure initiatives independently and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) at scale and/or multi‑tenant Enterprise SaaS environments.
