Staff / Principal Product Manager, Platform & Infrastructure

About the role

Render is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for its infrastructure platform. You will define the future of a modern cloud platform in an AI‑driven era, working closely with engineering and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for foundational platform primitives such as compute, orchestration, networking, traffic routing, and data storage.
• Drive prioritization across platform investments, balancing long‑term capabilities with short‑term product and business needs.
• Partner with Engineering and other product teams to shape technical direction, ensuring reliability, performance, and extensibility.
• Develop an opinionated view on how platform primitives must evolve for AI‑native builders.
• Set standards for how product teams build on the platform, providing clear guidance and abstractions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product management experience, primarily in developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
• Deep empathy for developers and strong ability to make architectural trade‑offs with engineering.
• Proven track record turning ambiguous, cross‑cutting platform problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Required skills

• General knowledge of AI usage in modern teams.
• Understanding of compute, orchestration, storage, and runtime concepts.
