Staff Pharmacist – Tyler, TX

About the role

The Staff Pharmacist will support pharmacy management by overseeing daily dispensing operations, ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution, and providing both routine and emergency coverage at a Fortune 100 healthcare facility in Tyler, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day pharmacy operations, meeting workflow efficiency and production targets.
• Verify new and refill prescriptions for accuracy, including packaging and labeling.
• Prepare and oversee sterile IV medications in compliance with established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy production staff, ensuring accurate order entry and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Manage controlled substances inventory, including ordering, receiving, documentation, and storage of Schedule II medications.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, DEA policies, and third‑party payer requirements.

Required profile

• Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or related field.
• Experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
