Staff Nurse – Operating Room (Full-Time)

About the role

The Operating Room Staff Nurse provides high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care within a surgical setting. Working as a competent member of the health‑care team, the nurse delivers direct and indirect care to a culturally diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively, collect data, and identify learning needs.
• Develop individualized care plans, prioritize problems, and set mutually agreed goals.
• Implement and continuously evaluate care plans, adjusting interventions based on patient response.
• Administer medications, manage pain, and perform unit‑specific clinical skills.
• Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
• Support orientation and education of new staff and delegate tasks appropriately.

Required profile

• Demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge in peri‑operative care.
• Ability to apply the nursing process to diverse patients and families.
• Strong understanding of relevant laws, policies, standards, and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Effective communication and teaching skills for patient and family education.
