Veterinary Surgery Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, positive, and energetic Veterinary Surgery/ICU Supervisor to lead our surgical and intensive care team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care while ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast‑paced specialty environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support the surgical technical team.
• Manage staff, workflows, and complex specialty hospital operations.
• Provide clear communication, timely instruction, and consistent expectations.
• Monitor processes, identify variables, and facilitate timely corrections.
• Handle employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures that maintain efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Maryland – preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an RVT or technician in a specialty practice.
• Minimum 5 years of experience monitoring anesthesia in a specialty setting.

Required skills

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring.
