Staff Engineer – FPGA Design

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated FPGA Design Engineer to create high‑performance digital solutions for advanced unmanned aerial vehicles. The role involves designing, implementing, verifying, and debugging FPGA‑based modules that support critical avionics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA communication modules and timing‑synchronization solutions for UAV platforms.
• Integrate FPGA designs with system‑level architecture, collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams, and assist PCB designers during board bring‑up.
• Perform synthesis, implementation, timing closure, bitstream generation, and conduct debugging, testing, and optimization for reliability, latency, and throughput.
• Contribute to FPGA architecture discussions, participate in design reviews, and maintain engineering documentation.

Required profile

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical, Computer, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA solutions using VHDL or SystemVerilog.
• Proven ability to build reliable, high‑performance digital communication systems and handle timing closure and clock‑domain crossing.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment with strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
