Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join Zenlayer’s Finance team in Diamond Bar. The role provides broad exposure to the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, general ledger, month‑end close and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions, prepare journal entries, accruals and reclassifications.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, maintain schedules for prepaid, fixed assets and other accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, payments and maintain vendor records; monitor AP aging.
• Generate customer invoices, apply payments, reconcile AR and support collection efforts.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, expense cut‑off analysis and preparation of management reporting packages.
• Assist with external audit, due‑diligence and internal control compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements, participate in ERP enhancements and document SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations and support month‑end close.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite knowledge is a plus.
