Staff Accountant – General Ledger & AP Support

About the role

The Staff Accountant will support the Controller and Assistant Controller in maintaining the General Ledger and overseeing key accounting functions such as invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, and cash collections. The role ensures all financial reporting complies with GAAP and collaborates with senior management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller with daily accounting operations and staff management.
• Handle ad‑hoc email and phone requests and approve Concur expense reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements when time permits.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for multiple GL accounts and maintain prepaid accounts.
• Support job costing, calculate and pay commissions.
• Assist with annual and occasional audits, regulatory filings, business licenses, and personal property tax returns.
• Participate in special financial projects as needed.
