Staff Accountant – Baton Rouge

About the role

Turner Industries is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate finance team in Baton Rouge, LA. The role focuses on preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update financial statements and reports.
• Maintain records of assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and tax liabilities.
• Perform routine accounting duties in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with additional assignments as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or higher in accounting or related field.
• 1‑5 years of accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems and strong analytical abilities.
• Technical proficiency and willingness to learn new software.
• Ability to pass post‑offer drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation.

Required skills

• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
