Sr. Manager, HR Strategy & Process

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Sr. Manager, HR Strategy & Process (listed as Sr. Manager, HR Consultant) to provide expertise and direction on change management, communication and human capital strategies for operations projects affecting its stores. The role partners with operations leaders to understand business needs and drive value for stores and associates, works with the Human Resources Centers of Excellence at the Store Support Center on designated projects, and acts as a change management champion and voice for the associate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Agile retrospective (10%): document project issues and risks, track mitigation and resolution, capture lessons learned after each project or phase and share them with the PMO and business
• Business partnership and assessment (35%): partner with the business to understand needs and project outcomes so that people and change management components deliver value
• Communication and collaboration (20%): share project information with HR stakeholders, help gather data, build timelines and change management plans, and select success metrics for pilots and rollouts
• Thought leadership (35%): contribute to project plans and facilitate working sessions and meetings covering compensation, talent acquisition, selection, communication, organizational effectiveness and change management

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Preferred: 8 years of experience
• Preferred: proven experience managing large cross-functional projects and prior HR generalist experience
• Reports to a Sr. Director or Director of Human Resources, with 0-3 direct reports; typically less than 10% overnight travel
