Manager, Organization Development

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Manager, Organization Development (OD) for its Store Support Center. Partnering with business leaders and HR teams, the manager designs and implements OD solutions aligned to business strategy, acting as an internal consultant who analyzes data to close the gap between current and desired organizational states. The role supports organization design initiatives and manages change impacts and adoption, working with OD Senior Managers on large initiatives and independently leading smaller ones.

Key responsibilities

• Change management and communications: conduct change impact assessments, create communication plans and materials, and coordinate with partner teams such as learning, communications, compensation and talent acquisition.
• Implementation and adoption support: draft materials for new structures and ways of working, lead workshops, coordinate learning, and follow up on post-implementation metrics with HR Business Partners.
• Organization design and planning: lead workstreams on large initiatives and small to mid-size ones, covering team alignment, discovery, stakeholder feedback and future-state design, plus benchmarking against industry standards.
• Organizational analysis and stakeholder partnership: build relationships with business leaders and HR Business Partners, analyze the desired future state and success metrics, and design and sometimes facilitate workshops.

Required profile

• Able to work in the United States; 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred: 5 years of work experience, 3 years in organizational design, and a Master's degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business or a related field.
• Preferred: prior experience in internal consulting or HR strategy roles, and proven experience in change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.

Required skills

• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
• Preferred: project management skills, strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement, and change management skills (e.g., PROSCI or similar).
• Preferred: ability to gather and synthesize data, communicate complex ideas simply, and influence executive leaders.
