Manager, HR Consultant

About the role

The Manager, HR Consultant provides expertise and direction on change management, communication and human capital strategies for Operations projects affecting The Home Depot's stores. The role partners with operations leaders to understand business needs and projects, works with the Human Resources Centers of Excellence at the Store Support Center on designated projects, and acts as a change management champion and advocate for the associate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Agile Retrospective (10%): document project issues and risks, track mitigation and resolution, capture lessons learned after each project or phase and share them with the PMO and business
• Business Partnership and Assessment (35%): partner with the business to understand its needs and project outcomes so that value is realized through people and change management components
• Communication and Collaboration (20%): communicate project information to HR stakeholders, help gather data, build timelines and change management plans, and select success metrics for pilots and rollouts
• Thought Leadership (35%): contribute to project plans and facilitate working sessions and meetings covering compensation, talent acquisition, selection, communication, organizational effectiveness and change management

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job
• Experience: 5 years preferred
• Reports to a Senior Manager or Director of HR; typically involves less than 10% overnight travel
