Sr. Flight Software Engineer

About the role

Reliable Robotics is developing safety‑enhancing autonomous aviation technology. As a Senior Flight Software Engineer you will create deterministic C++ code for bare‑metal aircraft systems, work directly with flight hardware, and see your software fly on real aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Develop highly deterministic C++ software for bare‑metal environments that interfaces with sensors and control systems.
• Implement robust fault handling, unit testing, and integration with other vehicle subsystems.
• Collaborate on certification activities and contribute to the Reliable Robotics autonomy stack.
• Plan and execute flight testing, working both in the lab and on the aircraft.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience with C or C++ in embedded or high‑performance applications.
• Ability to work self‑directed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Eligibility to comply with U.S. export control regulations.

Required skills

• C++ programming in bare‑metal embedded environments.
• Experience with C language.
• Knowledge of DO‑178C and safety‑critical software development.
• Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
