Sports Medicine Sales Associate - Colorado Springs

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a field-based sales associate for its Sports Medicine specialty in Colorado Springs. The associate acts as the face of Stryker products, supporting Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing them, and educating doctors, nurses and other staff on product use, functionality and updates.

Key responsibilities

• Tailor Stryker's promotional message to each customer after product training, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality.
• Distinguish Stryker products from competitors' products and recommend the right choice for each situation.
• Communicate with large groups and by telephone, and use common office equipment such as a PC, fax and modem.
• Negotiate price and terms with customers, solve complaints and questions, and analyze territory market potential to prioritize calls.
• Travel up to 20% overnight per year and drive an automobile.

Required profile

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related experience preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Successful completion of in-house product training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds constantly.

Required skills

• Command of all Stryker products, including functionality, features and differentiators.
• Confident communication, networking and closing skills, with a track record of exceeding quarterly sales quotas.
