Speech Therapist – Outpatient Pediatric Rehab

Ochsner Health is seeking a Speech Therapist to provide outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services in the Greater New Orleans area. The role operates autonomously, delivering assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing therapy to meet patient needs and quality metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop individualized speech therapy treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Achieve productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality.
• Contribute to program development and community outreach initiatives.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural considerations.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a speech pathologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence within two years of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Strong judgment and decision‑making in diverse clinical scenarios.
