Speech Pathologist (NE) – Indian River Hospital

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a Speech Pathologist (NE) to join its Ancillary Speech Therapy team. This PRN position works 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, providing assessment and treatment for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and apply therapeutic techniques for dysphagia, voice, and aphasia.
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies for adults and pediatrics.
• Provide voice evaluations and bedside swallow assessments.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate findings to physicians.
• Instruct and counsel medical staff and families on treatment techniques.
• Follow Code Blue protocols and adhere to National Patient Safety Goals.

Required profile

• Master’s, Doctorate, or SLP‑D degree from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
• Current Florida Speech‑Language Pathology license (or eligibility).
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
• Externship experience in speech‑language pathology.
