Advanced Practice Provider – Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Diagnostic Institute is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the Interventional Radiology team at Indian River Hospital. The role involves providing longitudinal inpatient and outpatient care, performing a variety of IR procedures, and collaborating closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient rounding, consults, and longitudinal patient management.
• Perform IR procedures such as removal of vascular access devices, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture and ultrasound‑guided interventions.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic tests as credentialed.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within state and institutional guidelines.
• Educate patients on disease processes, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Participate in quality monitoring, discharge planning and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (with RN license) or Physician Assistant in the applicable state.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (MSN required within 3 years of hire) or an A.R.C. approved PA program.
• National certification (NP or PA) and Basic Life Support certification; ACLS, PALS or NRP as required by the work setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and provide both primary and specialty care.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing vascular access device removal, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture and ultrasound‑guided procedures.
• Competence in conducting comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations and developing treatment plans.
• Experience interpreting laboratory, radiologic and cardiographic data as credentialed.
